Q: "Why are there two class reunions for the Class of 1980?
A: From Jerry Rising: "A classmate named Lillian Jordan has contracted with Great Reunions after we had already set up our Committee which I am on and was the Chairperson for the 25th year also. She decided to go ahead with them after we tried numerous times to inform her that we had formed our committee and would be starting our events leading up to the Final event. Our 30th Year Reunion is scheduled for Friday (9/17), Saturday (9/18), and Sunday (9/19/10) at the Long Beach Hyatt Regency. I think that the one that Great Reunion has scheduled is sometime in July, it is a one day affair. We have tried to have a meeting with the other committee to no avail, so as it stands, there will be 2 Reunions. (i believe their committee consist of Lillian Jordan, Ernest Jackson, Patricia Harris-Smith, and a few others, not sure who)" [end of explanation]
